Well, this post has no pictures, but contains information that is better than pictures.
The Phillips Phamily is growing!!!! Yes, we are expecting a baby in August! I am about 16 weeks along (but look like I'm 20 something) and we are all excited about the baby.
I'll go ahead and answer what some of you are probably wondering:
There's just one.
We will, again, wait to find out the gender until its BIRTH DAY!
Quinn's guess is boy, Kanyon's is girl. I don't have a feeling either way yet.
People keep saying, "Oh, so you're trying for a girl" my answer is always, "We're just trying for another baby." Either one is fine with us.
We are handling this pregnancy the same as we did with Quinn as far as my OB care. I started my deliluten shots this week and will do that once a week until 36 weeks. YOOOOUCH! We will do ultrasounds and FFN tests every 2 weeks starting at 24 weeks. Its fun to get to see baby that often, but it does make the chances higher of someone slipping and telling us what it is. THEY BETTER NOT! I see the Dr. more often starting at 24 weeks, but its nice to feel like we're keeping a close watch on things. Having a "successful pregnancy" under my belt now does bring some comfort. I know its possible for me to carry to term. But the fear of the first pregnancy still lingers.
The boys pray for "baby in Mommy's tummy" daily and the other night at supper, qsp prayed "Mommy feel better" (I guess they're ready for this "first trimester" yuckiness to pass.)
We have our "big" 20 week ultrasound in a month so we are prayerfully looking forward to that and would, of course, love nothing more than to hear we have a healthy baby growing.
My due date is August 21 but we will have to deliver a week or two sooner so I'll announce the birth day as soon as we schedule it.
I plan on buying a really big swimsuit and staying in the water all summer. How else would I survive an East Texas summer gigantically pregnant! :)
We appreciate your prayers as we grow! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!
We don't do a ton around here for Valentine's day. I thought to put klp in a red shirt for school, but I'm pretty sure he had no idea why. But we for sure got the boys balloons as a little treat. They went bonkers when I brought them in and have had so much fun playing with them......they're actually still floating around our house.
The next few of klp crack me up (and make it seem like he watches TV all the time....not true, but I seemed to catch him every time...maybe because thats the only time he's just sitting somewhere).
He scored both balloons for a little relaxin' in his chair
again....both. It just looks funny to me.
When he's feeling big, he crosses his arms. He was obviously feelin' big with his balloon.
Q "made" this at Ladie's Bible Class. Ooooh that look is sooooo him! I love love love it. :)

My Singers
Almost daily, Q says something that I had no idea he knew and have no idea where he learned. The other day, we were swinging and he started singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I probably should've taught my kid that song by now, but I hadn't. Not sure where he learned it, but after he sang it once I asked him to sing it for my video. Stick with it because I think the last time is my favorite one.
"Squinkle little star how I wonder whatcha doin'"
Of course, klp wanted his turn. And...lets just say, we all have different strengths and talents. :)
In his defense, he only knew the song from hearing q sing it seconds before, so I asked him to sing another one that I knew he'd learned at school...it sort of fell apart too and you'll hear that singing is not my strength either. :)
qsp now requests for us to sing Twinkle Twinkle and we for sure say "how I wonder whatcha doin'" Its too cute and I know he'll catch on too fast if we sing the "right" words.

Kanyon on his new bike
I've mentioned a couple of times lately that klp got a new bike. The one he had before was too small, so our PT took it to another little one and brought us this one. We decided to go with regular handle bars (instead of "arm pedal" type things) and I think it was the perfect call by PT Celia. He LOVES his bike. He is strapped in with a vest looking thing mostly to keep his left shoulder back so that he doesn't try to draw up his left arm which is what his muscle tone tries to do. Our driveway is on a slope and so is our entire street so klp never gets a chance to ride on flat ground, therefore we didn't really know what he could do. So one afternoon we went to a nearby church parking lot to let him ride his bike (which he asks to do EVERY SINGLE DAY). In the video you will see:
1. What he did the second we put him on his bike. Remember, he had never been totally let go because of the slope of our street/driveway. This was his maiden voyage. Prepare to be impressed.
2. While riding, he goes towards a basketball goal and does his obligatory "boom" and "shoots"at the goal. He's such a baller.
3. His "too cool" wave that he gives me when he drives past me. Cracks me up.
Feast your eyes on this............
Can't tell you how happy we were to see this. We were proud of him and what he is able to accomplish physically (pedaling, speed control, steering, figured out how to go backwards to get out of a tight spot by the end of the ride, etc.), but more than that we are so happy FOR him that he can DO SOMETHING that he wants to do so bad. He is totally independent (minus a few reminders to not run over people) and that is a FIRST for us. We've already ridden bikes with friends and I can't tell you how great it is to stand with the other moms while ALL of our kids ride bikes.....instead of me pushing Kanyon while everyone else rides. We are thankful for the Ambucs organization that makes sure kids of all abilities get to ride a bike! :)

Winter?? Really?
We haven't had much of a winter here this year. Thats why at the beginning of February, we're already overrun with dandelions! I was trying to give qsp a lesson in how to blow them......
Lots of sound, not much air coming out
He asked Bubba for some help
Weird face...I caught him mid-blow.
Forget the dandelions, DADDY'S HOME!!!!!
By FAR the hi-light of their day!

A few February pics
Q isn't the only one who digs the sunglasses.....
We were face timing with Gram the other night just before bed and I thought they looked cute all piled up talking to her. Poor klp can't figure it all out. He gets super close so that he can see himself on the screen but then all the other person can see is his hair! haha! We have to keep reminding him to back up. :)
qsp was singing his Montana song to her (she always sings it to them and he's learned the words).
klp got sidetracked by the cattle truck
klp still gets a kick out of puppets. My SIL Rachel's mom HAND MADE this puppet for him for either his first or second birthday. I kept it put up because I was afraid he would tear it up, but he loves it now! And guess what?? It took Q a while to warm up to him...he was a bit scared at first! :)
The other day, qsp picked up the phone and said, "Hello Gay Gay!!" Ya think I talk to my mom a few times a day???
Q handed me my phone and told me he wanted to say "cheese" for a picture (but he wouldn't look at the camera....so its not that great of a picture, but I just think he's cute). Think I take a few pics on my phone????
q helping me wash potatoes. He'll do anything to get to play at the sink.
Another pleasant surprise when I went to check on the boys playing. I actually heard Kanyon using his "reading voice" so I went to see that cuteness and Quinn was being a bookworm too (pardon the blur, I didn't want to get too close and interrupt them).

Brothers are the best!
Its not all hugs and smiles all the time between these two, but lately I've caught a few sweet moments of them together. Nothin' better.......
This was at my parents, mom took it and sent it to me.
I was sitting in the chair beside them but I didn't want them to know I was taking a picture because I was afraid they would move. They were cuddled up by each other reading.
They love for Q to sit in klp's lap
so I look like a monster, but aren't they cute???!!!
I was cooking supper the other night and it got quiet (you know....the bad quiet) in q's room so I went to check on them and this is what I found....the quiet wasn't so bad afterall! :)
