We had a Dr. appointment Thursday, so since we were so close, we stuck our heads in the NICU to say hello. It was so fun for us to see each other. Even though Kanyon didn't open his eyes, I know he was happy to "see" them. Here he is with Tracey and Jim. We'll have to make another trip up there sometime soon to see the night shift.
People are always asking how much Kanyon weighs and I really don't know. So my dad, being the expert angler that he is, got out his fish scales! weighing in at...............................
10 pounds!!!!! A nice catch for any fisherman!
Its kinda funny...Kanyon's whole life my dad has compared him to a fish. Pretty soon he'll be bigger than any bass around.

That picture of your dad weighing him... in a fish scale... in their living room... is hilarious! One he will get a big kick out of when he is older! Too funny! A ten-pounder! Whoa! Great growing there Kanyon... love y'all!!
LOVE the fish scale!!!! HE will enjoy that pic so much when he gets older! Happy 5 months!
Ya'll crack me up! I love the pictures, and I love the fish scale. That is so smart. I used to put my kids in the produce scale at the grocery store. I am so proud of him for being so big. Ya'll are doing such a great job! We love ya'll!
That picture is great! That will have to make a reappearance later...maybe graduation party! I love it.
It's amazing to see him by the basketball then vs. now! He has gotten so big. I love the fish scale - I will have to show that to Mark when he gets home from fishing! He looks great - take care.
What a whopper! Definitely a keeper. So thankful that he is growing so big.
WOW! What a catch! I love seeing the monthly birthday pics. He'll be bouncing that ball before long!! The first day of school came and went, and we are off to a great start, but you, Jaymie, were certainly missed. Your WO friends love ya and will always have you and your precious family close in our thoughts and prayers.

AWESOME!
10 pounds! He is getting so big. I think that is the besy way to weigh a baby! LOL! I swear your parents haven't aged a bit.
The Grand Kanyon is getting so big. I can't wait to see him running around Deer Run next summer. YOu guys continue to be in my prayers. You are great parents!!
The fish scale is very funny. We used a fruit/vegetable scale with Jonathan until he was 8 months old! Then he wiggled so much we were afraid he would fall.
It's great to see how much Kanyon has grown. You are truly blessed. Prayer works. Karen
Love the pictures! keep them coming!
I love the fish scale weigh-in! What I great idea. But I think that you should continue with the basketball pics also! In those one can really see how much bigger he is getting. It's great to see him doing so well, and hitting the 10 pound mark! Way to go Mom and Kanyon!
Well, this is just one of the funniest posts in a while!! I very much enjoy checking in and reading all the good news and triumphs. Ten pounds! Great going! (Of course, that is what Natasha weighed at birth and by five months she was, like, 22 lbs.! Sheesh, what differences there are in people, eh??) I can't wait to show Jeremy the basketball pictures and the fish scale pictures. TOO GREAT!! LOL!!! Love & Prayers, Sunny Folding
