A note from Wes

Wes Phillips, who is Kory's dad and grandfather of the twins, handed me a note last night when I was in Longview that he wanted me to post on the blog. Obviously it was written before we lost Jayde, but I still thought it was very relevant and appropriate to share it with all of you.

"These babies are so, so, so fragile, it is almost incomprehensible. Their lives are literally hanging on by your prayers to our God and Father whose great power is all that could possibly save them. Please pray for His spirit of life to breathe in them.

At times our hearts are crushed, but not broken, filled with agony but not despair. We are comforted by God's care of their souls.

Thank you all for your caring, sharing, and loving. May God bless each of you for your goodness and faithfulness."

To All The Family of Jayde and Kaymon;
I am so sad for the loss of your Jayde, she is God's Angle now. I pray that God will continue to give Kaymon the breath of life and that he will wrap his arms around each and every one of you, comforting you as no one else can. My prayers will continue to be with you.

Little Jayde had to get her angel wings quickly so she can help watch over her little bro, cuz that's what big sisters do. May your weary hearts find strength, comfort and healing through the love of those around you.

Dear Rachel,
On behalf of Jaymie's White Oak friends and all of those who are reading, we truly appreciate YOU for keeping us up-to-date on how everything has been going. We feel like we can be apart of what is going on without having to be in the way. You are a sweetheart and a wonderful sister-in-law. So, thank you for letting us feel apart of Jayde's and Kanyon's lives. If she or Kory needs ANYTHING, her White Oak teacher friends are here.

Jaymie, Kory, and Kanyon-
I have been so anxious to be able to get to a computer today and leave you a note, and now I am here and at a loss for words. After reading Wes's words, I am joining you in deciding my heart is "crushed but not broken." I love you more than I can put into words, and your faith-journey through this has made me a stronger person. Thank you for that. We are praying without ceasing!

I was e-mailed this blog page a couple of days ago from a friend. I have been praying for your family and was saddened to read of the loss of your baby girl. I pray that God will be with each and every one of you to give you comfort and to give you strength. I still am praying for health, wellness and ever little triumph for your son. May God keep you all close!

Just wanted you to know that you have been in my thoughts & prayers since I first heard the twins were born and will continue to be for the weeks,months,and years ahead. I have a cousin who has been going through something very similar the last few months and the many ups and downs they have faced. I pray that the Lord will bless you with peace and comfort each day and that you will lean on Him for strength and understanding. You are on my heart!

The flood of prayers and love and concern for you two and the twins has been a true testament to God's power and what a difference it makes to have the Lord and people who love the Lord in your life. I am heartbroken for your loss, and at the same time reminded of what truly matter in life. The Lord is already touching others and teaching others of His greatness through Jayde's sweet life. My prayers are constant for all of you.

To all the family- the wounded, weary and heavy-hearted;
I am so glad that you know Jesus. He is the only way anyone gets through times such as this. I can't imagine your grief. Words are inadequate and so I won't try. I am grateful that the Holy Spirit intercedes when we don't have the words. Wes and Susan, I love you so and pray for your strength and courage as you do the difficult task of supporting a child who must walk through the wilderness. My prayers are with you all.

Your family is constantly on my mind and in my prayers. I was at work and sharing this blog with Camille's teacher and asking her to pray for you all when I read the sad news. My heart is so sad for you even though there are so many reasons to be joyful for Jayde. I can't imagine all the emotions you are going through right now. I am asking everyone I speak to to say a prayer. God has his ways of reminding us how awesome He is, even through two tiny lives. We all hold onto the hope Kanyon has and anticipate watching him grow and develop. This has also reminded me of the blessing of having family through Christ. I know there are Christians all over the world lifting up prayers for your family, and that is so amazing to me. What a blessing. There are many blessings to be so thankful for. Hold on to love of Jesus...it's powerful.

Love,

Jaymie, I am so sorry to hear about Jayde. Everyone in your family has meant so much to me since I moved to Paris and even now that I don't live there. I love all of you. I actually quoted Nanny Betty today at work and thought about how much I miss seeing her when I visit Lamar Avenue. I still can't believe you are all grown up and married and have become a mom. It kills me to think how hard this must be for you and Kory. It doesn't seem fair. I will pray for all the Spencer/Phillips family for strength. And I believe God will honor everyone's prayer for strength on your behalf. Deon Melton

You guys are so special to our youth group. Tonight 15 people were there 1 hour before the game... just to pray for you guys. To bring our pleas and our questions to our God on your behalf. It's so hard for us to see people we care for so much ... hurt so much.

We will continue to pray for your strength and your mourning. God will be faithful to bring you joy again. Kanyon will continue to be lifted up.

I cannot fathom your loss. My heart hurts with you. My family has been praying all week for the Jayde and Kanyon. I spent a very difficult hour with our girls this afternoon. Jaymie & Kory,

You don't know me, but I found you through another blog. I am a fellow sister in Christ. My husband and I live in Arlington, Tx and attend Pleasant Ridge COC. I have read the past posts and I want you to know that my heart aches for you! I am a NICU nurse in Ft. Worth, Tx. I have never experienced the loss of a baby, but I see it and support families through it often at work. I want you to know that the nurses there in that NICU are people that you can trust. These people love what they do, and want only the best for you and your baby. I know that God's hand is on you and your precious baby Kanyon. You seem to have a wonderful support group and I praise God for that!!! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
