Late night update

We just got back from the hospital a little while ago, and everything is still good. Kanyon has gained a little bit of weight, and this evening they upped his milk intake to 2cc per feeding. Keep praying for his little digestive system, but so far he's handling it well.
-
I see that many of you are already doing this, but when you leave a comment, please let us know where you are from. Jaymie and Kory have a map in their room and they are coloring in all the states and countries where they know people are praying for them. By the way, if any of you are from Nebraska, please let us know because someone (I won't mention names) started coloring in Nebraska thinking it was Kansas. If you know anyone from Nebraska, call them and tell them to pray and leave a comment so we can finish coloring that one in.

Knowing that they are being constantly lifted up by so many people in so many places is such an encouragement to Jaymie and Kory and all of us- please keep it up!

Jaymie, Kory & Family,
We are continuously lifting prayers up for Kanyon, and when I am at work I am blessed to be able to pray over him. I have also been praying throughout for the NICU nurses and Dr Chris for God's wisdom to guide them as they care for him. I wanted ya'll to know I have donated some Harrison Bears in memory of your precious Jayde Spencer. The tags will have her name on them so when we give them out to other parents in a similar situation, we will all remember Jayde. I heard our Glory Baby theme song tonight and felt led to send you the words.

Glory Baby by Watermark

Glory baby you slipped away as fast as we could say baby…baby..
You were growing, what happened dear?
You disappeared on us baby…baby..
Heaven will hold you before we do
Heaven will keep you safe until we’re home with you…
Until we’re home with you…

Miss you everyday
Miss you in every way
But we know there’s a
day when we will hold you
We will hold you
You’ll kiss our tears away
When we’re home to stay
Can’t wait for the day when we will see you
We will see you
But baby let sweet Jesus hold you
‘till mom and dad can hold you…
You’ll just have heaven before we do
You’ll just have heaven before we do

Sweet little babies, it’s hard to
understand it ‘cause we’re hurting
We are hurting
But there is healing
And we know we’re stronger people through the growing
And in knowing-
That all things work together for our good
And God works His purposes just like He said He would…
Just like He said He would…

BRIDGE:
I can’t imagine heaven’s lullabies
and what they must sound like
But I will rest in knowing, heaven is your home
And it’s all you’ll ever know…all you’ll ever know…
(If anyone wants to hear it- it plays on our website
www.glorybabies.com on the memorial page.

Our hearts hurt and rejoice,
Amy Steele and family

- My daughters were praying for Kanyon to get better and strong and my 4 yr old added for him to get fast...I guess so he can be quick on the basketball court.

I just can't get the Phillips family out of my mind, I love you guys so much!

Last night I had to run to my car in the rain and it brought back of a few memories that made me laugh. I couldn't help but think how much Kanyon will enjoy playing in the rain as much as his dad.

Just wanted you all to know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers every day. Our family is praying for the lord to give you all strength and courage through this difficult time. Please remember that the lord never gives us more than we can handle - we may not always understand why - but he always has a plan. May God be with you during this very difficult time.

Jorgehound (as Betty referred to Jorge) has told Lyneil a few times that he prays that she and Andy will continue to have boys. The church needs good, strong, nurtured in Christ men to serve for our future. I pass this prayer on to you and Kory for Kanyon. How wonderful is our God that has given Kanyon such a winning nature! I pray that he will grow stronger and stronger every day. I pray that he will use the same persistent spirit to be the Godly man that he is intended to be. He already has so much to live for and more to live up to. I pray that he will follow in the footsteps of his dad and both of his grandfathers. I simply pray for strength, for the present and the future; first for God and His work and for you and Kory.

We love you and you are on our minds.

Jaymie and Kory,

As thousands of others, I am drawn to this site daily and read every message. (I feel like I'm snooping, though and I expect Blair or Jared to chastise me any minute for breaching your privacy.) Last night I looked again at the pictures of you and the babies. I pictured an 18-year-old Kanyon towering over Jaymie in a basketball uniform as she reminds him that he was less than one foot tall and the weight of a small package of hamburger meat! Incredible! Praying without ceasing.

Love, Jackie

Wednesday night I thought the following message was added to the blog, but I didn't see it. So I will repeat at the risk of being rude.

We love all of you! You are an incredible family. We cannot wait to see Kanyon and we will never forget Jayde.

Rachel,

Thank you so much for the blog! You and Maureen are perfect fits into this incredible family. Thousands would probably like to do something in Jayde's memory and would like to know Jaymie and Kory's preferences. Will you let us know?

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for any of you. Gay has my phone numbers, including my cell.

Thanks!

Okay, I pictured KANYON in a basketball uniform towering over Jaymie. Although I do remember Jaymie in a basketball uniform and in 18 years, I'm sure she will still be able to wear it and to play. My editing is lacking.

I guess I keep writing because I want to be with you so badly. We will see you all soon!

Love,
Jackie

Hey, I just wanted to let you guys know I've been praying for you. I heard about your situation through my sister Andrea Silverthorne. I'm in Wyoming, which doesn't appear to be filled in, so I'm happy to represent this state in prayer.

I'm SO glad to hear that little Kanyon is doing so well. What a miracle.

Kory, Jaymie, Kanyon, Wes & Susan,
It's such a gift for us to have this blog to read each day.....it's so uplifting to read everyone's comments and to read Rachel's and Wes's updates. So, I can only imagine what it is doing for all of you.....prayers and support are so important.

I know that having Clint, Sydni, Sayler & Tye there with you now feels wonderful. It won't be long and Kanyon and Sayler will be riding horses, 4-wheelers and helping "Papa" salt the cows!

My parents are in South Dakota, so please color in their state. They do not have a computer and are unable to leave a comment. But, believe me......they and other family and friends are praying! Also, my brother and wife are in Missouri and they are praying for Kanyon and you.

We care about all of you so much....I'm so grateful that you have each other to hold on to.

I will also be in prayer for the tests on monday. Just remember there is a reason for all of this and God is in control.

I think you may have to global with that map... I'm Emily Wallace's sister and we're praying so fervently for your family from our home here in Bolivia. I loved the Watermark song comment as that song was such a comfort to us as well in the past. God bless your family!

That Prayer Partners map is OUTSTANDING! I was thankful to read that Nebraska, Missouri, and New Mexico are taken care of, as we know friends/family (Scott & Amanda Free, in Albuquerque) in those states who are praying for you. My friend, Summer, who posted about their little 2yo who survived being born around 25 weeks...? She's from Utah, and her family is praying for yours.

Now with my sister there with you, I'm feeling that much more 'connected' (strange, huh?). Jayde's service tomorrow will be a joy and a sorrow. We're there with you in spirit.

What amazing news about Kanyon's breathing and digestion!!! Praise God for these answered prayers; we understand He is to be praised for even the prayers that aren't answered the way we wanted, for with our limited understanding, we must depend upon Him to sustain.

Loving you and still praying,

Sunny Folding, for Jeremy, Natasha, and Justus.

Oh, P.S. I wanted to post this. The morning after Jayde passed away, it was Justus's turn to offer our morning prayer. After he prayed for Kory, Jayme, and Kanyon, he added, "...and please help Jayde have fun in heaven with you."

Amen to that! Just imagine being there together someday. Oh what a day that will be. Heaven WILL surely be worth it all.
