Morning update

I just talked to Jay this morning, and nothing has changed, but I just thought everyone would like to know that Kanyon is still doing good - he's breathing well and digesting well. Praise God! Jaymie is being released from the hospital today. I know it will be so hard for her to go home and leave Kanyon there, so pray for strength and comfort.

Jaymie,
Know that I cannot stop thinking and praying for you, Kory, and Kanyon. You are so, so dear to me. I love you more than you know, and want more than anything to hug you and be there with you. I have been telling my students all about you, so know that there are 70 4th graders in Tennessee who are praying for you!!

Jaymie,I want you to know that you all continue to be in our prayers. I have somewhat been in your shoes before and it will be hard leaving the hospital, but it's the faith and prayers that help you through. Also, know that you can call and check on him ALL hours of the night. Believe me, everytime I woke up, I would call and check on Caden and it helped until I was able to be with him again. The most amazing thing to me when Caden was born was that it didn't matter how far away I was from home or when I was a short distance away from Caden, I could always turn to the Lord in prayer and it would help to get me through another day. You are blessed to have your family and soo many friends to help you along your way. You are a strong faithful person and Kanyon is lucky to have you as his mother. One day, he will be sitting in your lap letting you tell him how much of a miracle he is and how much he has blessed your family. I live with a precious miracle today and I count my blessings daily for the opportunity that I have been given to be his mother. Keep your faith strong and look to the Lord.

This blog touched my heart via Banks family xanga (Debbie is my cousin). The bittersweet news of the birth of the twins, the loss of Jayde, and Kanyon's struggle have continuous prayers going up that God will hold Kanyon, Jaymie & Kory, as well as their family and friends in His arms of comfort and protection. God Bless you all!

Kory and Jaymie-
This is definitely one of those situations that I want to ask God about when I get to Heaven. But, for now, we just have to trust in Him and lean on Him for strength during this difficult time. You know Mark and I love you both and have been praying for sweet Kanyon. What great news that he is eating like a champ!! Our hearts are breaking for you over losing Jayde and we pray that God will give you amazing strength on Sunday! Let us know if there's anything we can do for you here!
We love you!!

Kory & Jaymie,

My heart broke when Leah called with the news of Jyade. However, she is with God and in such a sweet peaceful place. Please know she will not be forgotten. She will be loved always by so many. I read these pages of sweet encouragement and it warms my heart to know that you guys have been lifted in prayer by so many people. We will continue to pray for Kanyon and for your whole family. God Bless each of you.

I do not know you all personally, but I am close friends with Beth Pender. She told me about your babies soon after they were born and my family and I have been praying for you all ever since. I am so sorry for the loss of your little girl. My heart aches for you and your family. I pray that God will give you the strength you need during this time and that he gives you a sense of peace. I praise Him for each triumph Kanyon makes. I pray that he will continue to get stronger everyday. I will continue to pray for you and your family. May God bless each of you.

An incredible song by Casting Crowns:
Praise You in This Storm
words by Mark Hall/music by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms

I was sure by now, that You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.

Chorus:
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find You
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away

Chorus

I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth

Jaymie & family-
Still praying! Wanted to let you know about an email I read...it was about a mom that had her baby at around 24 weeks...(I'm going to get to the point) and she couldn't hold her baby for 2 months, but she prayed that the Lord would hold her....when the baby turned 5, they were at a ballgame and little girl told her mom..."Do you smell that?" and the mom said "yea, it smells like rain." That went on for a while....and the little girl said no mom..... "that's what Jesus smells like when you are laying on his chest." Touched my heart! Just thought that was something that would help...although I know that you know what Jesus can do and that he is there with Kanyon right now. Love ya,
Tracie

Jaymie--
As I look at the updates and the visitors and all the prayers, I am reminded of the times before now when a friend or relative needed support and how you quickly, unconditionally offered it. I am sad to see that you are now the one in need, but what a precious testament to the power of the one who created love and friendship and light. Your daughter's life is already a testimony to thousands of what it means to be part of a Christian family and community. And more than that, her life is a testament to the hope that we all cling to each day. As I struggle for words of comfort, all I can think to say is you are loved, on Earth and in Heaven and your family is safe in His arms, wherever they may be. Get some rest girl, you're all in my thoughts and prayers.

Jaymie and Kory..
Let me first remind you, Jaymie, of who I am: Shea's mom and Amanda Walker's sister. I was crushed to hear about your baby girl. Its like I knew when I saw the ribbons the teachers were wearing that something was wrong. I started having flashbacks of my experience. Jaymie I know exactly what you are going through, loosing one of my twins, at two weeks old, was the hardest thing I have yet gone through. We dont understand why God puts us through these tough trials at a certain point in our lives, but please just trust in HIM and HE will get you through this. My husband and I couldn't have made it with out HIM or the prayers of our friends and family and even strangers.
I just wanted you both to know that I am praying for you and for Kanyon. God Bless You !!
