Very sad news

There’s really no easy way to break the news – we lost Jayde last night. In Kory's words, she went to be with God. Her poor little lungs just weren’t working well all day yesterday, and they finally stopped working completely late last night. I know it goes without saying, but please lift up this family in your prayers right now, and continue to pray for little Kanyon. He is doing okay right now, but he still has a long way to go.

Kory and Jaymie,

It's 11:30 p.m. - here in AZ. 1:30 a.m. in TX. Clint just e-mailed to let us know Jayde just passed away. Now I will tell you (I'd chosen not to previously), in case you don't know, about our Audrey, a little girl we adopted when Natasha was two. She lived only twelve hours in this world. We were blessed to be able to hold her, take pictures with her, love on her, and sing to her - "Jesus Loves Me" - before she went on to heaven. Audrey's death left a hole in our hearts that will remain until Jesus comes again, as will Jayde's place in your/our hearts. I'm thankful that you had three days with your precious Jayde, and that she will never again suffer.

I know how you will treasure every touch, every memory, the comparatively few pictures you have, and every message of sympathy and support from your loved ones. It's not sadness for her, but the letting go of our dreams of what we wanted and expected that's hard.

We'll keep Kanyon in our prayers (that goes without saying) as well as the two of you, and all your family and friends.

God knows the plans that He has for you ... plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. (from Jer. 29:11)

With love,

Sunny Folding (Sydni's sister), Jeremy, Natasha, and Justus

P.S. I am NOT looking forward to breaking this news to Natasha (8) and Justus (4) in the morning. Sydni IMed us after Kory called Clint requesting especially fervent prayers for Jayde in this next stretch of breathing difficulty; Justus wouldn't let us tuck the children into their beds before praying for Jayde once more.

Jaymie, Kory and Kanyon,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. I have said a prayer every time I thought about your family. I am deeply sorry for your loss of Jayde. God has a plan for us even though we don't always agree with Him or know his reasonings. We will continue to pray as hard as we can for Kanyon! Loving you always in good times and bad! I cannot begin to tell you how deeply sorry I am. I am amazed at how attached I had become to baby Jayde without ever seeing her in person or touching her. What a beautiful little girl she was and what a tremendous blessing to know that if she cannot be with her earthly family, she can be with our Father in Heaven. Please know we are praying (and have been all night) for Kanyon and your family...I didn't know about the prayer pager so have not been paging you.
Your sister in Christ,
Lindsey Eason

Your loss is our loss, but God is good all of the time and we will continue to ask Him to lift you up! We are praying for you constantly, all day and everytime we awaken in the night we bring you before the Father. King David said it best, "She can't come back to us, but we can go to her" and we will.

Oh, I wish I could come wrap my arms around you and cry with you. I am thankful you are surrounded by friends and family during this struggle. Please know that my prayers surround you. I don't claim to know what you are going through; however, I remember what it was like to lose the dreams you had planned for your child. My heart goes out to you! It has always been a comfort for me to know that my baby boy is brand new in the arms of his father and that I can look forward to holding him when I get to heaven. I pray that you can have the same peace that I found through the prayers of so many. If Jayde and our baby boy can't be earthly friends, I have a feeling that heavenly friends are so much better! I love you and will continue to pray for you! In the days and weeks ahead if you need someone to listen and cry with, please don't hesitate to call us.

Love,

1Thes:4:17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

It seems God surrounds himself with the most precious and pure. What a happy reunion that will be someday when you can hold your beautiful girl again...

Jaymie and Kory,
I don't think I've ever met either of you before, but I'm Jeff Nutt's wife Meagan. Just wanted to let you both know how much our hearts go out to you, and that we are petitioning the Father in Heaven on your behalf. He promises that our tears never go unnoticed and that He longs to carry our hurts and heavy loads. My prayer for you is that He whispers His love to you daily, and that He heals your little boy completely. We are also very sorry for your loss of Jayden. Thinking of you often....
