Paw Paw and Gay Gay's Visit

For weeks Jaylie has been asking me to straighten her hair so I did it and she aged 10 years.

Q pushing the limits of this pink balloon.

Paw Paw and Gay Gay are here!!!!! Whoohoooo!! This was taken no more than 2 minutes after they got to our house. Mom hadn't even taken her coat off yet! Jaylie had all her colors out and ready for Gay Gay to paint her toes.

Of course we spent some time fishing! The city has 2 ponds in the middle of town that they keep stocked with trout.  It is a short walk from our house, so its a great place for us to go!

Success!

Sometimes the fish is so big you need big brother to help you reel it in!

Mom, Q, Rainbow Trout

The whole gang

Kanyon loves to fish but he loves to cast on his own.  This poses a problem if you care at all about keeping anyone within 8 feet of him from getting hooked.  Our solution? No hook.  He's happy as a clam casting and reeling over and over.  Every now and then he'll real one it "for Paw Paw" and there'll be a fish on the end, but otherwise its all about the cast for Kan Man and he's really good at it with his one handed technique!

K helped Paw Paw reel this one in!

We brought a few home to clean and eat that night for supper.

J carried these 2 around for quite a while and I'm
not sure why.

Another day another fish

As usual, the grown ups play Wa Hoo at night.  Its always me and Dad vs. Kory and Mom and there is never a shortage of trash talking, celebrating, gloating, and bossing.

Our friends, the Lunds, have such a fun "barnyard" full of fun farm animals! Springtime is so fun there so we went to see all the babies....

fed the lambs....(mark my word: I WILL HAVE LAMBS)

collected eggs (Juney's favorite)

and visited the new chicks (Q's favorite)

We were in the middle of Little Eagles Basketball season, so Q got to play for Paw Paw and Gay Gay.  Its pretty much chaos, but its still fun to watch and Q loves playing!

Kan is quite the shot and by far the tallest one on the court.

3rd Grade Music show and here's the spiffy 3rd grader with 2 of his teachers Ms. Murphy and Mrs. Udelhoven.
He was feeling SO big the night of the show.

There's an Amish community in our area and they have a grocery store.  But mostly they have ice cream! So we took Gay Gay there one afternoon for some ice cream and little chill time in a giant chair.

Grillin' in the rain!

This is Kanyon's fan club while he does his therapy in the swimming pool.

Lots and Lots and Lots of Love

There's no such thing as a bad time with this crew. The only bad part is it always seems too short.

Q had a super loose wiggly dangly nasty front tooth that he wouldn't let Paw Paw pull.  The night after they left he got out of his bed and said "Mom, come here, I'm gonna pull my tooth." And he did. Not sure why he waited so long, but when he was ready it was no big deal.  We had to call Paw Paw and Gay Gay and FaceTime them on the road to tell them!

Classic little boy with no front teeth and a face full of freckles.  Its all I could do not to melt on the spot.
