My cousin Blake and his wife Kayli came from St. Louis to see us in April! We'd been looking forward to this trip for several months and had a blast!!
Kory and Blake off to do some calving work in the Montana spring mud!
Meanwhile me, Kayli, and the kiddos headed out to Susan's to dye easter eggs with Rachael and Jona. We had as much fun as kids have when they are impatient waiting for the color to get dark enough, or they all want the same color, or they drop the egg to hard in the cup, or any of the other Egg Dying shenanigans we all deal with. It really was lots of fun!
Our friend Alira had her wedding shower which meant Jaylie got to sit with Miss Carley (little sister of the bride) the whole time!
We jetted home from the shower ASAP so we could keep the fun going with Blake and Kayli....fun stuff like Battleship...
and relaxing while Kanyon plays with your hair!
We LOVED having Blake and Kayli with us and can't wait til they bring baby Hemphill (in mommy's tummy) back to visit!!!! Their visit completed the John Spencer First Cousins coming to Montana. I know I sound like a broken record when it comes to how we feel about our people visiting us, but we really do love it so much. We feel humbled that they would spend their time and money to come here, we feel blessed to have such wonderful cousins who are so much fun to hang with and are SO GOOD to our kiddos, and we just feel really really fortunate that we live in Montana which is a state people think is worth coming to. We don't pretend to think people ONLY come for us....Yellowstone, Glacier, The Big Sky Country in general stand alone. But we sure are glad they work us into the mix.
The next day was Easter!!! Jona came over before church so we could all hunt eggs together. Of course she was adorable and so much fun on her first year to really get into the whole egg hunting thing!
Kanyon stuck with the hunt for a record length of time this year. Usually he finds about 2 eggs and then doesn't care at all, but this year he had a basket full!
All the eggs with all the cousin love!
