Montana 2

We've hit the ground running since we got home and I've had a hard time getting to the blog. But here is round 2 of our Montana visit.

These 3 ya-hoos making beautiful music!!!

KLP with Hayven and klp out by the shop
The boys went and got the horses from the pasture across the road and brought them in to the corrals to get ready for gathering. This of course meant an impromptu horse ride. If I'd have known we were going to ride, I might have put shoes on my son. Or maybe not.

q was napping, so Sydni and I took the others for a walk.
We spent lots of time in the Rhino!
Haying is over, so the boys were cleaning up all the equipment and putting it away 'til next year!
klp, Hayven, qsp
Gram and Hayven on a little walk
All 4 grandkids piled in one car. I can't remember where we were going, WE WERE TOGETHER!
One night we drove about an hour to this place were tons of Elk come and graze, etc. We ate up there and klp had his first chicken leg. I'm telling you, this child eats like he's eaten his whole life!!! :)
klp and Sayler checking out the elk with Chief

Almost all of us in this picture. Eating, watching the elk, looking for big bulls and hoping to see some fight!
Q man was happy in the car!
Taking pictures was kinda pointless. I could never capture how close they were or how pretty they were. Some groups of them were within 30 yds. of us. They carried on about their business like there was no one there. The road is lined with people watching, but they didn't seem to mind. We think we saw maybe 300. It was neat to hear them bugle and it was extra fun when we saw 2 bulls lock horns! It was a really neat thing to watch! Pretty amazing!
more watching with Chief
Back at home, Kanyon and Hayven are having a meal together.
This was one night before Sydni and Sayler got there. A yummy meal by Gram!
klp driving with Uncle Tye. klp used to like to actually drive, but now he just climbs all over and tries to hang out the window.
I don't think I can adequately describe how OBSESSED Kanyon was with his big cousin Sayler. He followed her EVERY WHERE SHE WENT and wanted to hug her and be right beside her all day long. She tolerated him so well and was very patient with him. This night Gram was putting Sayler to bed and Kanyon wanted to go too. Reading books has never been very high on klp's list....but cuddling has. So he wanted to lay there with them. Unfortunately, cuddling makes Kan very giddy and Sayler makes him even more giddy!! He was squealing and kicking and SO HAPPY to be with them on the bed!
Look closely and you'll see klp's foot in the air, he was kicking with excitement. We rescued Sayler and Gram from the Tasmanian Devil that was in their bed and let them read in peace.
Sayler learned to play WAHOO!!!!
Brothers in the bath!
Giving Uncle Tye good night hugs before bed one night
Chief and Kory found some of the boys old trucks so klp could play with them. He found this red truck and LOVED IT! He pushed that thing all over the place. There's just something cute about a little boy pushing a truck on the ground.....

More fun to come!!!!!

Those are so good of Kanyon with the toy truck! But probably my favorite of all of those pictures might just have to be the one of Tye with the pajama boys. We played Wahoo with Sayler tonight (just two-marbles per player). She beat the pants off of us.

I have been LOVING all these pictures!!!! Oh my goodness, it's so cool to get a glimpse into that life that this city girl has NO CONCEPT of.... and it's absolutely beautiful. Glad y'all had such a fantastic trip!

Those last pics with the truck look like something out of a magazine...
