Day 100 INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!!!!!!

I am sitting here at my computer while Kory holds Kanyon ON OUR OWN COUCH and he doesn't have on a yellow GOWN!!!!!!!! We are finally home!!!!!!!!!!!! We got here about 2:00. We are so glad we got to room in last night. I think it made everyone feel even better about leaving. His monitors never beeped one time all night long, so those of you out there worried that we don't have a monitor..we don't need it! :) It took a while to get out of the hospital and all, but we are finally here. It is a crazy feeling. I think I was "feeling it" yesterday and now that it is here its numb and surreal. But WONDERFUL! We had the most amazing welcome to our house when we got here. Yet ANOTHER reminder that we are blessed with the best friends in the whole world. Overwhelming and amazing. I have more pictures but they are on my parents cameras and I figured blogland might appreciate pics ASAP so I'll do these that I have and I"ll do the rest later.

This is Kanyon on his last day in the NICU!

Ready to go!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a blessing to be able to come home with your sweet little miracle! I know that you all are so happy and filled with excitement! I check your website daily and I am so sorry that I haven't had the chance to sign in, but we've been rather busy, as CHANNING CHAIX CALDWELL, was welcomed into our lives on June 7th. We'd prayed for a "heart healthy" baby, but our first trip to the cardiologist confirmed that Channing has a hole in his heart. Not nearly severe as Caden's situation, but enough to bring back memories of those days. They say that everything happens for a reason and that God will not give us more than we can handle. I honestly believe that and I am ready for the challenge. When you look into the eyes of our special miracles, Kanyon, Caden, and many others out there, you can see how amazing God is and how thankful and honored we are to have been chosen to be their mother's! Kanyon continues to be in our prayers and always will. We look forward to your many new posts of life at home with Kanyon.

So many answered prayers. I have teared up several times today as I have thought about your first day and night at home as a family. I know you are so happy and the coming days will bring such peace and joy for each of you. I just sweet Jayde smiled down from the heavens when baby brother Kanyon got his first glimpse of the big world outside!
Hugs to all!

Congratulations Kanyon! I heard your story from my cousin, Anni, who is related by marriage to your Aunt Rachel. I know how excited you 3 are to finally be home. Our baby was in a Minneapolis hospital for 2 months and came home on Christmas Day of 2005. We are adding Kanyon to our prayer list. God seems to listen to us...at least he did for our son. Prayer chains are strong. We will pray for your continued strength. Keep up your strong faith and believe there is a light at the end of a long tunnel. Keep up the good work Kanyon. You are a fighter.
