Meeting Friends at Feeding Camp

One of the perks of being here in Dallas has been the fact that Kanyon has gotten to meet some of his biggest fans and his mommy and daddy's best friends.

We got to spend some good time with Auntie Beth, but somehow I didn't get a picture!! UGGH!! I guess I was too busy spending 2 hours talking to her at Fudruckers (and yes, Kanyon sat there so sweet and cute the whole time!!)

Here he is with Chelsea, she and her hubby live right across the hall from "us" here at Kasey's place. It is lots of fun. He likes her.

Here are a few therapy pics: His OT uses a ball much like the one his PT uses back home, but this one has little pokey things and is shaped like a peanut. He likes it. He looks like a little peanut cowboy when he sits on top of it.

As always, therapy isn't always a fun, comfy thing, but he does good...

My computer is acting dumb..but I can't write where I want to. Anyways, the above picture is his speech therapist working with him while he chills and watches the TV.

Here he is with his fav auntie Ali...she came over and hung out with us, ate supper, and got ice cream.. It was lots of fun. He always likes being with her.

Here they are hanging out on the couch.

And checking out some AMAZING things on the computer

We love this picture even though its blury. What a fun time we've had with Kasey. She has really gone above and beyond for us. It has been fun. Inpatient means the end of our slumber parties. sad.

You'd think that a boy who was hungry enough to try and eat a couch would eat food, but OH NO!

Here Kanyon is helping Kasey watch her choir shows and get good ideas for this year. I'm sure he offered here lots of great advice and critique.

Here we are with the peanut ball again. It helps him sit up. He made good strides this week with that. He starting putting his own arm down to balance. I took this picture for you Celia (our PT in Longview) if you're reading this. LOOK AT THAT ARM!!! YEAH!!! We're getting closer. His back is strong enough, he just has to figure out how to balance with his arms and stuff. We think since his spike has gotten so long that he's looking like a Dairy Queen ice cream cone with that swirl.
We got to hang out with Myles Saturday night (we missed you Lisa) and Kanyon loved meeting one of his daddy's best friends.
We went over to Chelsea and Heath's again last night while they worked. He got to meet Meagan and that was a fun treat! Sorry she beat you to him Erin!

Kory has been here this weekend and it has been lots of fun. We had a great Mother's Day today going to church with Aunt Nancye and her family. We are looking forward to tomorrow and praying that this is a big step towards getting better. This whole daddy visiting thing isn't fun...we want to all be under the same roof. I can't complain, last year at Mother's Day Kanyon was in Dallas at Children's for surgeries and stuff...those were dark days. This one was much better!

Jaymie-I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. You are a wonderful mom and such an inspiration. Your love and care for your sweet boy is something we can all learn from. We love you and miss you dearly. I hope you are taking good care of yourself as well as Kanyon. We hope to be able to see the Phillips Phamily all together home soon!
Love you! Jessica and Beef and the kiddos!

Hi Kanyon! You are just a little stud - I am so proud of you and how hard you are working (I can te-elll...)! I love all of the pictures, especially the sitting up ones! You listen to those nice ladies (yes, the feeding ones, too), they want you to get big and strong like we all do! Please give your mom a hug for me, she is a great one and loves you dearly. Keep up the good work and come home with lots of new tricks - including eating!!! We are praying for you all! Love, Celia
