Back on the ventilator

They took Kanyon off the ventilator this morning and put him on the CPAP, but he only lasted for about an hour before they had to put it back in. Jaymie says that they weren't really disappointed because his doctor just wanted to try it to see how well he would do, and they didn't really expect him to stay off it for too long. They will probably have to try it several times before they can take him off it for good. They are going to give him a week to get a little stronger before trying again. Other than that, he had a good day. He is up to 8cc per feeding and digesting it well. And even more exciting, Jaymie got to hold him again tonight! This time they just wrapped him up in a blanket and put a hat on him instead of the kangaroo method. They took pictures and I'll post them once Jaymie sends them to me.

I will pray hard and often, because we all know that prayer works. Kanyon had a big day today. He is a very strong little boy. KT

Jaymie, Kory, and Kanyon,

The three of you are in my thoughts and prayers many times daily. Maybe Kory will get to hold Kanyon next time. Actually, I think the kangaroo thing is cute and I was ready to nickname Jaymie and Kanyon "Kanga" and "Roo". You know them from Winnie the Pooh. The Spencer Place can be the 100 Acre Woods.

Sweet dreams!

I'm a friend of Susan's and have been following your sweet family's journey with the twins since she started emailing about them being born. I'm been so amazed at how many places I've heard or seen your names on blogs, in prayer requests . . just everywhere I turn, people are praying for your family. I know you are blessed by that knowledge, but I just wanted to affirm that although I've never met you, I love your little family and am praying for you, talking to others who love the Lord about you, and just joining the multitudes around the world who are covering you completely with prayer. What a priveledge it would be to hear the resounding cry for you guys that the Father is hearing on a continual basis! Be blessed -

Don' get discouraged, it took my neice many tries on her own to get off the ventilator. Just wanted to let you know that Zachary put your family on his prayer chain for Easter. He added Jaymie,Kory, Kanyon and Jayde. We pray for your family everyday and can remember what we went through with Sarah. Please remember God never leaves you!! I have no doubt you know this.
