Day 30

Quick update: He had his last round of his heart meds...we'll know more tomorrow how it worked. The nurse during the day couldn't hear the murmor, but the night nurse could. We'll see tomorrow. His head did not grow from yesterday, so thats good...says that no additional swelling is happening. As of 7:30 tonight, he "eating" again. They had to stop feedings while the medicine was in him. He started back on 11cc's and they'll work him back up pretty quickly. We're praying that he jumps right back into his good feeding habits! We sure want that to keep going well. As a follow up to yesterday's thumbs up sign, today I got an "OK" sign. I didn't have my camera, bur I guess he just wanted everyone to know that he is OK!! Thanks for sticking with us!

Jaymie -- I'm really enjoying all the updates, and we're still praying. Thanks for posting pictures. What do they say, "worth 100 words"? ;)

We love you,

Jaymie and Kory: I printed out the "thumbs up" picture so I can pray over him and see him at the same time. God is so good and faithful and I already see Kanyon as a mighty man of God. Thank you for sharing him with us. He has touched our lives and we will never be the same. You guys are so strong. I am so proud of you! We serve and trust a mighty God. To His glory!

Kory and Jaymie,
The pictures are so precious. When I saw his little eyes, I thought, "He's a real boy!" May God bless those precious eyes, the "windows of his soul."
You all continue to be in my prayers. I thank God for your witness to his goodness and grace, even in times that are hard.
I love you,
Karol Edwards

I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 9:1-2

Father, may I remember that the temptations in my life are no different from what others experience. You are faithful, God. You will not allow the temptation to be more than I can stand. When I am tempted, you will show me a way out so that I can endure.
I Corinthians 10:13

Father, may I remember that if I sin, I have an advocate who pleads my case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for my sins—and not only my sins but the sins of all the world.
I John 2:1-2

I ask you, God, to give me a complete knowledge of your will and to give me spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way I live will always honor and please you, Lord, and my life will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, I will grow as I learn to know you better and better.
I also pray that I will be strengthened with all your glorious power so I will have all the endurance and patience I need. May I be filled with joy, always thanking you, Father, because you have enabled me to share in the inheritance that belongs to your people, who live in the light.
Colossians 1:9-12

Father, may I remember that your grace is all I need. Your power works best in weakness. So now may I be glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

And, Father, may I remember that it is impossible to please you without faith. Please give me faith to believe that you exist and that you reward those who sincerely seek you.
Hebrews 11:6

I praise you, LORD, forever!
Amen and amen!
Psalm 89:52

It's been one month, sweet Kanyon! Congratulations on all your progress... keep it up! To Mommy and Daddy: know that the prayers are still going strong! You've both set amazing examples for everyone with your faith, patience, and love. Y'all are constantly telling us that we encourage you but I want y'all to know that you're the true encouragement! Love y'all and I hope to see the three of you soon!
