Lunch with Bubba

We all 4 ate lunch together today!  As you can see, both boys were "cheesing" for the camera.  We had a pretty slow (in a good way) day today.  No dialysis and NO BLOOD TRANSFUSION!  The numbers that need to go down continue to fall, and the numbers that need to go up are climbing up each day.  No Dr. has told us when we should go home, but one has hinted that it most likely will be a shorter stay than a month!  That is good news to us!  In many many ways, we have our Kanyon back.  They are letting us taking him out in the stroller and he is loving that.  He is busy and bored in his room.  He is staying awake more and more each day, so we are doing lots more entertaining that we've had to do in weeks! Lots of great friends have brought him or sent him lots of great toys so he's having fun with his new treats!  His behavior was similar to that of a newborn the first week we were here (and really the week we were at home too) and now we are looking more like a toddler!  The giggles are more and more and the squeals of excitement are being heard again.  I told him tonight when I tucked him in, "I'm getting my baby back" and he died laughing.  Not sure what is so humerous about that, but he thought it was hysterical!  Kory, Quinn, and Gram are headed back to Longview so qsp can be in his own house.

The plan was to have dialysis tomorrow, so I'm guessing we will. They will draw blood in the morning and make their decision after that.  I am curious to see what his numbers look like after a day without dialysis or blood.  By the color of his skin and his energey level, I think they will still look pretty good.  We are praying for a smooth climb up and out of here and thankful for the progress we've made.  We still have a ways to go, so we still need your prayers.  Thank you for everything so far!
